Guest In Penang (Day 1)

Penang. It's been many years since I last went there. Since it's holiday, with plenty of time available, my sister and I went for a little sight-seeing. We reached in the afternoon, at my friend's house. We were greeted by Nicholas and his baby. Well, not really his baby; he's the uncle. Haha.

Soon after, when the five of us were gathered, we went to 1st Avenue, for lunch.

After lunch, cinema time. Little Red Riding Hood. Not bad, but somehow, the tone of the story seems a little like Twilight. Then, we continued to walk around the mall for a little while. Just window-shopping-like. And we did a silly thing. We entered a lift and it was half glass, so we could look out to the streets outside. And we just stayed in for a little while, following the lift up and down. Haha.

At night, we went to the Straits Quay. Quite a beautiful place.

There was a pewter exhibit there, the Royal Selangor. It looked classy, and a gentlemen even briefed us a little on the company's history. And I saw a pewter chess set, priced at RM2000++, if I did not remember wrongly. Wow.

Next is the Hard Rock Cafe. The beverages were expensive. But I guess that's expected. There was a live band. Not bad, but a little loud to the ears. When I came out, for a short period, everything else seemed to sound softer.
